This is an upgraded Hardened FLEXOR® replacement input sleeve for the 5-speed 25-spline and 6-speed Getrag transfer cases. If your input sleeve has worn splines, it must be replaced to prevent stripping the splines and the consequential costly failure of the central differential viscous coupling unit.
FLEXOR® steel has been effective in providing equal if not superior wear, toughness, fatigue strength and tensile strength characteristics over most common alloy steels.

Installation requires a hydraulic press.
NOTE (for '91-92, 18-spline only): If the transfer case has a bolt in the middle of the cover near the "e" in "Getrag", then it can be converted to 25-spline by installing a 5-speed 25-spline sleeve.
